Abstract
The reaction of MeAlCl2 with EtOH (1:1) yields [(Cl2Al)(3)(mu-OEt)(6)A l] via EtOAlCl2 as an intermediate. The aluminum compound containing a six-coordinated aluminum atom was characterized by NMR and its struct ure was determined by X-ray analysis.
