Abstract
Total sterols of two algae from the genus Callophyllis were analysed. In both samples the major sterol appeared to be cholesterol. In C. fla bellata there are two tri-unsaturated sterols which are not present in other Callophyllis species which have been investigated (C. laciniata and C. adhaerens).
