Ha. Alhadainy et al., CLINICAL-EVALUATION OF REPAIRING OLD AMALGAM RESTORATIONS WITH COMPOSITE INLAYS, American journal of dentistry, 11(3), 1998, pp. 134-136
Purpose: Clinical evaluation of repairing old amalgam restorations usi
ng composite inlays cemented with two different bonding agents. Materi
als and Methods: Occluso-proximal Class II inlay cavities were prepare
d in 50 old defective amalgam restorations. Extra oral system (EOS) co
mposite inlays were cemented with two different bonding agents (All-Bo
nd 2 or Geristore). After final finishing and polishing of each restor
ation, evaluation was carried out at baseline, 6 months, 12 months, an
d 24 months using US Public Health Service criteria. The data were col
lected and statistically analyzed using Chi-square test. Results: No s
ignificant difference was found between the two bonding materials at a
ny time interval.
