The electrical, optical and magnetic properties of the cubic phase Sr6
Cu12Fe13S27 were determined. The electrical conductivities measurement
s as a function of the temperature show that the compound is a semicon
ductor. By means of diffuse reflectance spectrum at UV-VIS range the b
and gap was assessed at 2.6 eV which confirms its semiconductor behavi
or. Sr6Cu12Fe13S27 shows an antiferromagnetic ordering with Neel's tem
perature of 48 K. Above this temperature, the magnetic susceptibility
follows modified Curie-Weiss behavior.
