In the early days of See World, editorials were not 'considered necess ary, or even desirable' and were reserved for explaining general polic y and for announcing new developments. Editorials, particularly by gue st writers well respected in beekeeping circles, are now a regular fea ture of the journal. However, for this issue I am returning more to th e original concept for an editorial.
