Mk. Suleimanov et al., SINGLE-PARTICLE CORRELATIONS IN EVENTS WITH TOTAL DISINTEGRATION OF NUCLEI, Physical review. C. Nuclear physics, 58(1), 1998, pp. 351-355
New experimental data on the behavior of the single-particle two-dimen
sional correlation functions R versus Q (Q is the number of nucleons e
mitted from nuclei) and A(p) (A(p) is the mass of projectile-nuclei) a
re presented. The interactions: of protons, d, He-4, and C-12 nuclei w
ith carbon nuclei (ata momentum of 4.2 A GeV/c) are considered. The va
lues of R are obtained separately for pi(-) mesons and protons.ln so d
oing, the values of R are normalized so that -1 less than or equal to
R less than or equal to 1. The value of R = 0 corresponds to the case
of the absence of correlations. It has been found that the Q and A(p)
dependence of R takes place only for weak correlations (R<0.3). In the
main (90%), these correlations are connected with the variable p(t) a
nd have a nonlinear character; that is, the regions with different cha
racters of the Q dependence of R are separated: there is a change of r
egimes in the Q dependences of R. The correlations weaken with increas
ing A,, and the variable R gets the lowest values of all the ones cons
idered in (CC)-C-12 interactions. Simultaneously with weakening the co
rrelations in the region of large Q, the character of the Q dependence
of R changes.
