Abstract
We present evidence for a new form of quantum Hall effect (QHE) in org anic molecular metals, in which the chemical potential is pinned to qu asi-one-dimensional states between sharp quasi-two-dimensional Landau levels over finite regions of magnetic fields. A dramatic change in th e behaviour of the resistivity component rho(zz) occurs when the QHE i s observed, suggesting the presence of a chiral Fermi liquid at the sa mple edges.
