Abstract
The high-field (critical field 39.5 T at 4.2 K) single-step metamagnet ic transition was observed in the b axis of single crystal of TbCu2 an d its temperature evolution was studied. The transition is described b y a single-ion Hamiltonian taking into account higher order crystal-fi eld terms significantly contributing to the magnetocrystalline anisotr opy.
