ISOMERIC STATES IN AS-66

Two new isomeric states in the self-conjugate nucleus As-66 have been observed at the final focus of the LISE3 spectrometer at GANIL. The nu cleus has been produced in a fragmentation reaction of Kr-78 at 73A Me V. The As-66m1,As-m2 isomeric levels are placed at excitation energies of E-m1 = 3023.9 keV and E-*m2 = 1356.7 keV. Half-lives of T-1/2(m1) = 17.5(15) mu s and T-1/2(m2) = 1.9(5) mu s have been measured for th e isomers and a decay scheme has been established. (C) 1998 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
