Abstract
The physical and chemical properties of the commercial aluminum sulfat e melt that do not exist in the literature were measured in this study . The aluminum content of commercial aluminum sulfate hydrate varies b etween 16 and 17% Al2O3. The viscosity of this product is in the range 160-260 cP, density is in the range 1.705-1.735 g/cm(3), and the surf ace tension is predicted to be 105 dyn/cm. These properties change sha rply with temperature and concentration.
