The magnetic properties of some Co- and Fe-based amorphous metallic al
loys at ductile-brittle transition after annealing are presented and d
iscussed. It was found that the temperature dependences of magnetizati
on of annealed samples qualitatively coincide with those of as-quenche
d ones, but the Curie temperature values T-c are rising. Therewith, fr
om the temperature dependences of magnetic susceptibility chi(T) withi
n the paramagnetic region for the investigated ribbons it is followed
that value of the mean effective moment per alloy atom mu is rising wi
th annealing temperature T-c. Such behaviour of T-c and mu is connecte
d with chemical short-range ordering changes and formation of the micr
oinhomogeneities in subsurface layers with amorphous structure enriche
d with transition metal atoms in comparison with as-quenched ribbons.
