Abstract
It is shown that in appropriate experimental conditions a direct relat ion between the magnetoelastic coupling coefficient k and the amplitud e A(o) of resonant magnetoelastic longitudinal waves can be demonstrat ed in ribbons of soft ferromagnetic metal. The model conclusions on th e behaviour of A versus k were experimentally verified in Fe73.5CuNb3S i13.5B9 amorphous alloy; k optimization were produced by both heat ind uced structural relaxation and nanocrystallization. Since k is directl y dependent on Young modulus, a comparison, both experimental and theo retical, between Young modulus behaviour and magnetoelastic waves ampl itude in resonance conditions is consequent.
