The paper investigates the influence of the parameters of the PWM elec
tronic supply on iron losses in ferromagnetic sheets. The analysis is
developed both by a numerical model and by experimental investigations
on a NO SiFe 2.5%wt 0.65 mm lamination. The numerical approach is bas
ed on Finite Element Method and uses the dynamic Preisach model of hys
teresis. The measures are performed on an Epstein frame setup. The goo
d agreement between computations and experiments allows the validation
of the model, useful for a successive deeper analysis of different PW
M supply conditions.
