A simplified theory for the faradaic impedance of the microhole ITIES
is derived both at the equilibrium and at the formal potentials. The d
iffusion impedance cannot be expressed in terms of known circuit eleme
nts, but a deceptive similarity to the Gerischer impedance or the diff
usion impedance of a confined region is noted. Steady-state current-vo
