Abstract
The early and middle Jurassic stratigraphic succession of the Digne ar ea (SE France) can be subdivided into 37 third order depositional sequ ences. They can be grouped into four transgressive-regressive cycles r ecording the successive pulses of the Tethyan rifting. They all belong to the transgressive part of the Jurassic continental encroachment cy cle.
