MONOTERPENOID GLYCOSIDES FROM LIGUSTRUM-ROBUSTUM

Eight new monoterpenoid glycosides named ligurobustosides A, B, C, E, F, I, J and K were isolated from the leaves of Ligustrum robustum. The ir structures were established as geraniol O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-b eta-D-glucopyranoside), geraniol amnopyranosyl-4'-caffeoyl-beta-D-gluc opyranoside), geraniol opyranosyl-4'-p-coumaroyl-beta-D-glucopyranosid e), geraniol yranosyl-6'-O-p-coumaroyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside), yranos yl-6'-O-p-coumaroyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside), yranosyl-4'-O-p-coumaroyl )-beta-D-glucopyranside), geraniol-[(3 ''-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 --> anosyl)-(4'-O-p-coumaroyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside], pyranosyl-4'-O -p-coumaroyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside) respectively, by spectroscopic an d chemical methods.
