Abstract
A simple Regge pole model for K pi scattering explains the large phase
e(i delta) between isospin amplitudes which is observed at the D meso
n mass (delta approximate to pi/2). It predicts delta = 14 degrees - 2
0 degrees at the B mass. Implications for (B --> K pi) decays and exte
nsions of the model to other two-body decay channels are briefly discu
