SPECTROCHIMICA ACTA PART A-MOLECULAR AND BIOMOLECULAR SPECTROSCOPY
A high-light capacity chemiluminescence system produced by the oxidati
on of bis(2-butoxycarbonyl-3,4,6-trichlorophenyl)oxalate by hydrogen p
eroxide in a suitable solvent in the presence of a fluorescent compoun
d 9,10-diphenylanthracene was studied. The effects of stoichimetry and
other variables affecting the chemiluminescent reaction and the amoun
t of light output with respect to the light intensity and lime of illu
mination were investigated and discussed. An optimum component formula
tion for high-light capacity illumination was present. Under these con
ditions, the chemiluminescence system allowed efficient illumination f
