Abstract
For sillenite type crystals, 6Bi(2)O(3). SiO2, 6Bi(2)O(3). GeO2 and 6B i(2)O(3). TiO2, T-T-T (Time-Temperature-Transformation) diagrams and C -C-T (Continuous-Cooling-Transformation) diagrams are presented based on X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. These diagrams indicate growth pa rameters for obtaining gamma-phase: melting temperature, holding time and cooling rate. The results are in good agreement with melting tempe rature, holding time and cooling rate in growth process of single-crys tals reported elsewhere. In this paper, the authors will point out the needs and usefulness of T-T-T and C-C-T diagrams for growth of single -crystals.
