A multi-electron time-dependent model is applied in the calculation of
single-electron capture cross sections to Ar6+ ions from the light no
ble-gas target atoms He, Ne and Ar. The model allows for a non-perturb
ative solution of the time-dependent Schrodinger equation, and contain
s a single parameter the number of electrons susceptible to capture. G
ood agreement with experimental total cross sections is achieved for a
ll systems. For partial cross sections at low energies, good agreement
with experiments is obtained for He, whereas only the dominant final
channels are in agreement with measurements for Ne and Ar.
