Abstract
Application of the principles of physical organic chemistry to the con struction of molecule-based magnets is discussed. Not only the magneti c structures of conventional magnets but also secondary and tertiary s tructures of biopolymers are instrumental in the molecular design. (C) 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
