Abstract
First experimental investigations were performed on an integrated hybr id magnetometer, consisting of a thin film high-T-c superconducting ma gnetic pick-up system and a Hall detector made of bismuth. Sensitivity measurements in the temperature range between 70 and 300 K were perfo rmed. We found a steep increase of the sensitivity by a factor of abou t 100 below the transition temperature of the pick-up system as expect ed from calculation of its field amplification. At a temperature of 77 K we measured a resolution of 8 pT/root Hz in the white noise range. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
