U. Bruckner et al., THE INFLUENCE OF THE DENDRITIC STRUCTURE ON THE GAMMA GAMMA'-LATTICE MISFIT IN THE SINGLE-CRYSTAL NICKEL-BASE SUPER-ALLOY CMSX-4/, Materials science & engineering. A, Structural materials: properties, microstructure and processing, 247(1-2), 1998, pp. 23-31
The gamma/gamma'-lattice misfit was measured locally by X-ray diffract
ion in the rhenium-containing single-crystal nickel-base superalloy CM
SX-4. Different sections of a single crystal casting and positions in
the dendritic structure have been analyzed. A remarkable difference of
the misfit caused by segregation of refractory elements was found bet
ween the dendrite center and periphery. Problems of measurement and ch
aracterization of the gamma/gamma'-lattice misfit in superalloys of ne
w generations with a high refractory element level are discussed. (C)
