Abstract
In this work the high-temperature low-cycle fatigue behaviours of the NiCrAlY-coated, directionally solidified nickel-base superalloy CM 247 LC and the bulk NiCrAlY coating material PCA-1 have been investigated . Attention has been focused on the temperature dependence of the fati gue life endurance of the coating-substrate composite and the bulk coa ting material in the temperature range 400-1000 degrees C. It could be shown that the fatigue properties of the bulk NiCrAlY coating materia l essentially control the fatigue life of the coating-substrate compos ite. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A.
