Abstract
Internal organization of chromatin clumps in Bursaria truncatella macr onucleus was studied using formamide treatment with subsequent spreadi ng by protein monolayer technique. Chromatin structural organization c enters are described and a model of higher-order chromatin organizatio n in B. truncatella macronucleus is suggested. The involvement of high er-order structural elements in distribution of macronuclear chromatin at cell division is discussed.
