Abstract
The quantum efficiency and the molar-absorption coefficients of differ ent phenothiazine dyes are obtained by means of fitting the experiment al data of transmittance as a function of time. An analytical expressi on for the intensity transmitted in a photopolymerizable holographic m aterial is obtained, and good agreement between theory and experience is also achieved. The analysis of these parameters is of fundamental q uantities in the photochemical characterization of holographic recordi ng materials. (C) 1998 Optical Society of America.
