Abstract
The mass of Dy-168 has been measured for the first time using the two- proton pick-up reaction Er-170(O-18, Ne-20) at an O-18 energy of 104 M eV. The products of the reaction were detected at the focal plane of t he Q3D spectrometer. The Q value of the Er-170(O-18,Ne-20) Dy-168 reac tion was found to be 4.71 +/- 0.14 MeV. The mass excess of Dy-168 was deduced to be -58.57 +/- 0.14 MeV.
