The sorption properties of nitrogen-containing polyacrylonitrile-based
fibrous sorbent modified with thiosemicarbazide (Glipan-1) to platinu
m(IV) chloride complex (K2PtCl6) were studied. The effect of temperatu
re and concentration of chloride and hydrogen ions on sorption was ana
lyzed. The kinetic and capacity characteristics of this sorbent were d
etermined in hydrogen chloride and chloride solutions. The composition
of compounds formed in the fiber and the probable mechanism of platin
um(IV) chloride complex sorption were evaluated.
