REACTIVITY OF OH GROUPS ON THE SURFACE OF MONOCRYSTALLINE SILICON

Products of reaction of OH groups on the silicon surface with chloro- and alkoxysilanes was studied by IR spectroscopy. The effects of silic on surface preparation and nucleophilic activity of the reactants on t he reaction course are revealed. The proton-donor activity of silanol groups participating in reactions is quantitatively estimated through shifts of the stretching vibration frequencies of Si-H bonds.
