Abstract
Esterification of vinyl chloride-maleic anhydride copolymer by three a lcohols was studied kinetically with the aim of developing sorbents fo r cations having various sizes and various configurations of outer ele ctron shells. Simulation of elementary stages of esterification was pe rformed, involving tautomeric transformations of anhydride rings and r eactions of alcohols with each of the tautomeric forms.
