Abstract
Equilibrium measurements were performed to obtain the N-2 pressure-com position isotherms in the 400 to 900 degrees C temperature range for t he single-phase alpha-U2N3+x (1.63<1.76) region using N-rich alpha-U2N 3+x (atomic ratio N/U>1.80) as the starting material. The partial mola r free energy, enthalpy and entropy are calculated as a function of ni trogen content. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A.
