Abstract
The results of a study of the structure and electrical properties of n anocrystalline SrCe0.95Yb0.05O3 proton conducting thin films are prese nted. The relationship between the electrical transport and hydrogen p artial pressure has been determined and correlated with microstructure . Nanostructured SrCe0.95Yb0.05O3 films possess greatly enhanced condu ctivity due to interfacial effects related to the influence of surface s and grain boundaries. The opportunity to use these films for gas sen sors is discussed and their characteristics are presented. (C) 1998 El sevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
