Abstract
The twelve months study showed significant variation in the viability percentage of VAM spores in the soil of eight districts of Sindh, Paki stan with same pattern of increase and decrease during in and out of w heat season. Of the twelve months, March/April showed significantly hi ghest viability when soil was with wheat crop whereas during September /October it was found to be significantly lowest in absence of crop. T he soil of Nawabshah district in the month of March/April showed maxim um viability (98%) of VAM spores as compared to Jaccobabad showing min imum viability (53%) during September/October in comparison to other d istricts. Viability of VAM spore in soil of wheat fields of Sindh is b eing reported for the first time in Pakistan.
