Abstract
Scilla talosii TZANOUDAKIS et KYPRIOTAKIS from the islet of Dia is des cribed as a new species. It is an autumn-flowering taxon related to Sc illa autumnalis L. and S. obtusifolia POIRET but distinct morphologica lly and cytologically from both these taxa. S. talosii is polyploid wi th 2n=ca. 150 chromosomes.
