Abstract
This study investigated the impact of TA training and preparation and prior teaching experience on undergraduate students' and TAs' self-per ceptions of nine teaching effectiveness factors. Comparisons of self-r atings and student ratings were made for TAs representing four differe nt colleges. Results reveal that TAs with either K-12 or college teach ing experience were consistently rated as more effective.
