VENOUS ACCESS VIA THE RENAL-VEIN - A TECHNICAL INNOVATION

A patient with difficult venous access is described in whom both haemo dialysis and parenteral nutrition were required. To minimize the impac t on transplant prospects, the renal veins were used for vascular acce ss. The technique and rationale for this novel approach are presented.
