Abstract
A macrostatistical model of a vibrational-band spectrum is used to per form calculations of radiation transfer in inhomogeneous plane layers containing molecules of CO2 and H2O. The half-moment method is used to calculate radiation characteristics. Comparison is made of the calcul ation results derived by the method of line-by-line integration and by the macrostatistical model. It is shown that the macrostatistical mod el provides the accuracy sufficient for practical applications and fea tures a high speed of response.
