HYDRODYNAMIC INSTABILITY IN THE EVAPORATORS OF A BN-600 STEAM-GENERATOR

Analysis is made of the parameters of steam generators and the behavio r of fluctuations of the water how rate in evaporators when starting a BN-600 unit. It is shown that the fluctuations are caused by the oper ation of evaporators in the region of instability of density waves. Th e boundaries of the evaporator instability region are calculated. The expansion of the instability region is estimated at high outlet steam quality of the how Methods are given to prevent instability conditions .
