Abstract
Based on the method of integral relations, an approximate method is su ggested for calculation of heat transfer in vertical channels of gas-d ischarge apparatus under conditions of mixed convection in the presenc e of volume and surface heat sources. It is shown that, under certain conditions, cocurrent flow may arise, which leads to the separation of stationary laminar mode of gas flow. The threshold of emergence of co current flow is theoretically determined, and integral relations are d erived for the calculation of the main thermal and dynamic characteris tics of discharge channel.
