Abstract
GaP nanocrystals were synthesized by the benzene-thermal synthesis met hod in autoclave at 260 degrees C for 6 h. The particle size distribut ion and optical absorption property were studied and were compared wit h that of the reflux method in organic solvent. The advantages of the benzene-thermal synthesis method are the lower temperature and shorter time required than in the reflux methods in organic solvent. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd.
