Abstract
The vacA genotypes sl,ml and sl,m2 were detected in 44 and 30% of Heli cobacter pylori isolates, respectively, from patients with gastric muc osa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma, compared to 26 and 56% of iso lates, respectively, from individuals with gastritis, The vacA sl geno type was significantly associated with, but not predictive of, the pre sence of vacuolating cytotoxin activity.
