Abstract
The differential response of the bacteriorhodopsin film was employed t o fabricate a 2D ON-center ganglion cell receptive field. The receptiv e field was characterized as a zero-cross filtering, which was success fully used to detect the edge of an image. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S .A. All rights reserved.
