Abstract
Seven newborns were treated with recombinant tissue plasminogen activa tor for arterial thromboses. Complete lysis occurred in four of seven and partial in two of seven patients. Serious bleeding complications w ere observed in two of seven patients. This and published experience s uggest that successful lysis with recombinant tissue plasminogen activ ator occurs in most patients and that hemorrhagic complications are un usual but not rare.
