Abstract
A novel method is proposed for automated magnetic held homogeneity adj ustment in high-resolution NMR. The method uses measurements of the ed ge frequencies of slice profiles recorded under static gradients to ob tain three-dimensional magnetic field maps and does not require signif icant extra spectrometer hardware. Results are presented for the ''col d'' shimming of 5- and 10-mm-diameter probes in a 400-MHz narrow bore magnet. (C) 1998 Academic Press.
