Abstract
The stereostructure of the heptaene macrolide antibiotic candidin was established on the basis of NMR studies: C-13, DQF-COSY, ROESY and C,H -COSY experiments. The absolute configuration of the candidin chiral c enters were assigned as 3R, 5S, 10R, 11R, 13R, 15S, 16R, 17S, 19S, 34S , 35R, 36R and 37S.
