Abstract
Cleantioides verecundus is described from Thalassia seagrass rootmats found at Key Large, Florida. The species, the third from the western A tlantic, is characterized by the possession of a maxillipedal palp of five articles, three complete and one incomplete pleonite, and a subci rcular posterior pleotelson bearing two rounded longitudinal ridges.
