A new series of Cu(II) complexes of the type [Cu(L-1)(2)(H2O)(2)], [Cu

ic spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements of the solid compl
exes indicate a distorted octahedral geometry around Cu2+ leading to a
square-planar arrangement of the ligands.
