Abstract
In this work it is studied the effect of the choice of the initial ele ctron distribution in collisions with electron transfer between bare n uclei and H atoms, when the electron is in the 2s state, within the Cl assical Trajectory Monte Carlo (CTMC) method. The standard microcanoni cal distribution, used to choose an initial electron distribution, is compared with two other distributions: one which reproduces the exact quantum mechanical momentum distribution, and another close to the cor rect quantal radial distribution. It is seen that the results of the m ethod are not sensitive to the details of the distribution chosen.
