Abstract
Vertical oscillations in the Coulomb chains of dust grains arranged in a vertical chain in a sheath region of a low-temperature gas discharg e plasma are investigated. The characteristic frequencies of the modes are found. The number of the modes is equal to the number of particle s in the chain.
