This paper presents a new time-of-flight-based imaging lidar for measu
rements in the 5-100 m range. The paper describes the concept of the d
evice, shows the design of the time-to-digital converter for parallel
time-interval measurements and presents the sensor breadboard, Test re
sults showing sensor performance are also discussed. Although the devi
ce is developed for future space applications it can also be used for
numerous industrial measurements.
